Lisa Kaenzig, a long-time advisor and guide to students at William Smith, has been appointed dean of leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation and will serve as director of the Hobart and William Smith Centennial Center. Her new role begins on July 1.
“I join the entire campus community in thanking Dean Kaenzig for her extraordinary service,” said HWS President Mark Gearan. “She has built an outstanding team devoted to student support and will bring that same passion to her new role.”
Kaenzig will oversee the Centennial Center’s staff and programs, continuing her work with the Public Leadership Education Network. “I am thrilled to take on this new role and continue helping our students develop as leaders,” Kaenzig said.
Kaenzig brings over 30 years of experience, including two decades at HWS, and has served in various academic and administrative roles. Provost Sarah Kirk praised her as an incredible resource and mentor to students, expressing excitement for her future contributions to the Centennial Center.
