The Canandaigua Town Board will interview finalists for the vacant town manager position during a special session on June 12 at 8 p.m. in Town Hall. The board will conduct these interviews in a closed executive session.
Doug Finch, the previous town manager, left in January for a similar position in Duncanville, Texas. Since then, Town Supervisor Jared Simpson has taken on many of Finch’s duties while serving full-time.

Additionally, the Town Board will hold a joint work session with the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Environmental Conservation Board on June 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This meeting, which will discuss updates to the town’s 2021 comprehensive plan, will be available via Zoom.
