The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Rochester man on a bench warrant for petit larceny.
Geoffrey D. Evans, 24, of Prospect Street, was taken into custody after deputies discovered an outstanding warrant for his failure to appear in court for a petit larceny charge from October 2023. The arrest happened when probation officers were looking for Evans’ brother at his home.
Evans was transported to Wayne County Jail and is scheduled for centralized arraignment on June 6 at 7 p.m.
