The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Keith E. Downey, 38, of Sodus, following a domestic incident investigation. Downey faces charges including second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies reported that Downey used a wood-cutting axe to damage a vehicle while someone was in the driver’s seat. The incident led to Downey’s arrest and transport to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Downey is currently held at Wayne County Jail awaiting CAP arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sodus Court at a later date for further proceedings.
