Northeast College of Health Sciences launches Menzo Case scholarship

Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls has announced the creation of the Menzo Case Scholarship, a new initiative to support students pursuing degrees in healthcare. The scholarship is named in honor of Mr. Menzo Case, a highly-respected community leader and member of the College’s Board of Trustees who passed away in 2023. Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, the scholarship will annually support a student from New York’s Finger Lakes region studying radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography.

Mr. Case, who was the president and CEO of Generations Bank, was renowned for his volunteer work and leadership in various community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of Seneca County and the National Women’s Hall of Fame. His commitment to community service is reflected in the scholarship criteria, which emphasize volunteerism alongside academic pursuit.

Dr. Michael Mestan, President of Northeast College, expressed enthusiasm about the new scholarship, highlighting it as part of the college’s broader effort to nurture future healthcare leaders and honor the legacy of Menzo Case. The scholarship aims to ease the financial burden on students committed to making a positive impact in healthcare and their communities.
