Police say an 88-year-old was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk in Penn Yan after a car-pedestrian crash on Wednesday.
Around 3:45 p.m. police were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Elm streets for a pedestrian who had been struck by a car in a crosswalk.
The victim, who was not identified, was transported to Soldiers & Sailors Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The driver, identified as Suzanne Westlake, 88, of Penn Yan was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
Penn Yan Fire and Ambulance both responded to the scene.
