The Glorious Garlic Festival, a celebrated event previously paused by its former operator, the Geneva Business Improvement District (GBID), is set to make a comeback. Scheduled for August 3-4 at Lakefront Park, the festival has found a new operator in ShowReady Events, chosen by the GBID governing board for their extensive experience in event production. The new team promises to revitalize the festival with their expertise, aiming to make it a source of pride for Geneva in the forthcoming years.

ShowReady Events, led by a trio of seasoned professionals—Reagan Burns, Jenny LoMaglio, and Richard Boyan—brings a wealth of knowledge from various successful events, including the Rochester Lilac Festival and the New York State Festival of Balloons. Their collective experience is expected to enhance the festival’s offerings, which celebrate garlic, artisanal crafts, foods, live entertainment, and local wines and beer.

With plans to honor the festival’s origins while introducing innovative elements, ShowReady Events is poised to blend tradition with new energy. The GBID Director, Catherine Price, expressed excitement over the transition, anticipating a seamless integration of the old with the new to ensure the festival’s continued success. The event is not only a celebration of garlic but also a key attraction that brings together the community, featuring related activities in downtown Geneva leading up to the festival weekend.
