Wayne students shine at prestigious choral event in Rhode Island

Three high school students from the Wayne Central School District, Courtney Buss, Zoë Cook, and Liam Keeney, were celebrated for their musical achievements as they performed at the esteemed American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division event in Providence, Rhode Island. This notable event, which took place from February 28 to March 2, highlighted the culmination of the students’ hard work and dedication to choral music.


These talented students embarked on their journey to this prestigious stage following a challenging audition process in September, showcasing their exceptional vocal abilities. Their successful auditions earned them places in the Easter Division Honor Choirs, marking a significant achievement that reflects both their individual talent and the quality of the musical education at Wayne Central School District.

Participating in the American Choral Directors Association event was a significant accomplishment for Buss, Cook, and Keeney, allowing them to join a distinguished group of young performers from across the nation. Their involvement in this prestigious event underscores their dedication, hard work, and the high standard of the music program at their school.
