The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 36-year-old Jason R. Johnson from Lyons on January 13 following investigations dating back to June 2023. Johnson faces a series of charges stemming from various incidents, including burglary, larceny, and violation of protection orders.

Johnson was initially involved in a domestic dispute where he allegedly broke into a residence, assaulted a victim in front of a child, and stole property. He is also accused of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, who had a stay-away order of protection against him. Additionally, Johnson was reported to have possessed and attempted to cash forged checks, violating another protection order.

In total, Johnson has been charged with harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, attempted petit larceny, petit larceny, contempt, grand larceny, burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Due to his prior criminal history, he was held without bail following his arraignment at the Wayne County Jail.
