Bills’ Deonte Harty named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Buffalo Bills returner Deonte Harty has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Harty took a punt 96 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of Buffalo’s division-clinching 21-14 comeback win over the Dolphins.

The punt return set a new Bills record for the longest return in franchise history and marked the longest punt return in the league since December 12, 2021.

This is Harty’s first Player of the Week award in his four-year career and he is the second Bill to be named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, joining Reggie Gilliam (Week 11).
