Police arrested a local man following a disturbance on Pearl Street in the city of Canandaigua.
According to a news release, Jovan Smith, 26, was arrested for aggravated harassment after sending a threatening text message to another person.
Smith was taken into custody without incident.
The charge will be answered at a later date.
