The village of Waterloo is currently undergoing a significant upgrade to its water treatment and distribution system, a project valued at $12.7 million.

This extensive initiative includes the construction of a new, million-gallon, elevated water storage tank at the intersection of Burgess Road and North Roads.

Additionally, enhancements are being made to the water treatment plant located on Kime Beach Road in Fayette, situated on the east shore of Seneca Lake.

The newly constructed tank is set to replace an older storage facility on Reed Street, which was dismantled several years ago.

This development is expected to not only enhance the water pressure throughout the village but also cater to the increasing water demands brought about by new establishments in the area.

Completion of this project is anticipated next year.
