Legal Author Alfred E. Piombino will teach an in-person seminar at Cayuga Community College for those interested in becoming a New York State Notary Public. The seminar is held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 and runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Auburn main campus.

This acclaimed practical seminar helps prepare participants to successfully pass the New York State written examination.  It will also cover the recent February 2023 release of the newly designated NYS Electronic Notary or “eNotary” and Remote Online Notarization (RON) programs.  New mandatory journal requirements for all New York Notaries will also be discussed, in addition to other new rules and regulations.

Attendance at this seminar is a must for every applicant to properly prepare for the duties, authority and responsibilities of holding a New York State Notary Public commission.  Four sample examinations are provided to every participant as a self-study aid for review after the seminar.  All registered participants will receive two printed books written by the speaker – Notary Public Register and Recordkeeping Protocols and Notary Public Handbook: A Guide for New York (East Coast Publishing).

Piombino is the leading New York and national notary law and practice expert.  Starting in 1987, he designed and initiated the Notary Public Training Programs at over 35 State University of New York (SUNY) and City of New York (CUNY) colleges throughout New York State, including Cayuga Community College.  He has personally prepared tens of thousands of people to pass the New York state proctored, written examination.  Piombino is the author of nine law books, including Notary Public Handbook, a court expert witness, past SUNY college business law faculty and is listed in Who’s Who in American Law.
