Auburn’s Yule Rock band set for holiday series

The holiday season in Auburn will be enlivened by the return of the Yule Rock band, set to begin their series of performances this Thursday, Nov. 30, at Moondog’s Lounge.

Now in its second year, the band features an ensemble of local musicians: Terry Quill on guitar, Ally Colvin on keyboards, Aidan Dougherty on bass, Chris Sawyer on saxophone, Ryan O’Hara on drums, and Michaela Nicpon on vocals. The group promises to deliver a vibrant mix of holiday classics across their schedule.

Yule Rock has announced a lineup of five shows for the month, starting with their performance at Moondog’s Lounge. The series includes a special event on Friday, Dec. 1, at Prison City Brewing, where they will partake in the 12 Beers of Christmas and Ugly Sweater Party. This event, with a $45 admission fee including 12 tastings, will support the Cayuga County Child Advocacy Center’s Christmas Adoption Program. Other performances are scheduled for Dec. 7 at Tinkers Guild, Dec. 13 at the Cayuga Museum Carriage House Theater, and a return to Moondog’s Lounge on Dec. 21.

Admission to all shows, except the special event at Prison City Brewing, is free and open to the public. During these performances, Yule Rock will be accepting donations for local charities including the Child Advocacy Center of Cayuga County, the Cayuga Museum of History & Art, and Auburn Community Cats TNR. This series of concerts by Yule Rock not only brings festive cheer to the community but also supports important local causes.
