Bills’ Reggie Gilliam named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Fullback Reggie Gilliam has been named the Week 11 AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the New York Jets, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Gilliam provided an early spark with a big hit on Jets returner Xavier Gipson, forcing a fumble and setting the offense in the red zone, which resulted in a quick 3-0 lead. The fumble was recovered by tight end Quintin Morris.

It’s Gilliam’s first special teams player of the week award, and he’s the first Bills player to earn the honor since Nyheim Hines in Week 18 of the 2022 season.

Gilliam has three total tackles on kickoffs in 11 games this season and has played a major role on special teams in his four seasons in Buffalo.
