UDN, Inc. raises $22,500 for Pluta Cancer Center Foundation

UDN, Inc., a leading Rochester general construction company, hosted its sixth annual charity golf tournament on October 2 at the Penfield Country Club. The event raised $22,500 for the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation, surpassing last year’s donation.

The Pluta Cancer Center Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Rochester, whose aim is to provide support to patients going through cancer by providing the funds necessary to relieve the financial burdens that many cancer patients and their families face and expand and enhance integrative oncology programs and services.

With the participation of 140 golfers, 153 dinner guests, and the support of 22 sponsors, UDN’s sixth annual golf tournament was a resounding success. The event also received generous contributions from over 79 local businesses who donated raffle prizes.

Nick Testa, a Managing Partner of UDN, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We were honored to host our sixth annual charity golf tournament. We are so grateful for everyone taking the time to come out and support this wonderful organization and the impactful work it does for numerous families.”

UDN’s other Managing Partner, Nick Charvella, echoed Testa’s sentiments, saying, “We are pleased to support the critical work of the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation. We are proud to have exceeded the amount we raised last year and thank our community, partners, sponsors, and participants for their generous support.”

The Pluta Cancer Center Foundation’s Executive Director, Jamie Bishop, expressed his appreciation for UDN’s partnership, stating, “We are so grateful for the partnership with UDN. We are extremely fortunate to have the support of our community, which enables us to help patients struggling financially due to their cancer diagnosis and to offer programs to help alleviate the side effects of cancer treatment.”
