Deputies say a Canandaigua man was arrested on several charges including resisting arrest after a property damage accident during the afternoon on Sunday.
Brian Ford, 41, was arrested for DWI after leaving the scene of a property damage accident on County Road 10.
During the course of the investigation Ford became combative and attempted to strike law enforcement personnel. He continued resisting arrest as they took him into custody and once inside the patrol car – kicked at the door and window.
The patrol car was damaged as result of the incident.
He was charged with DWI, criminal mischief, obstruction, resisting arrest, and various other traffic violations.
He was held on pre-arraignment detention following the incident.
