The New York Mets made several roster moves Friday night.
Most notably, designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach was non-tendered, and outfielder DJ Stewart was brought back on a one-year contract worth $1.38 million.
Right-handed pitchers Jeff Brigham, Sam Coonrod, Trevor Gott, and infielder Luis Guillorme were also non-tendered, meaning they are free agents.
Like Stewart, relievers Drew Smith and Phil Bickford agreed to one-year contracts to return in 2024.
Stewart, 29, appeared in 58 games with the Mets last season, hitting 11 home runs to go along with 26 RBI while hitting .244/.333/.506.
