The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a firearm threat at the BOCES complex in Seneca this afternoon.
According to a news release, deputies were called to the Flint campus for a student with a gun around 2 p.m.
The school’s resource officer and security were able to locate and apprehened the student in under four minutes from the first call.
The firearm in question turned out to be a BB gun. The student, who was not identified, was apprehended on unknown charges. Those were not included in a press release sent to media Thursday evening.
The investigation remains active at this time.
