Police arrested a Rochester resident following a bank fraud investigation in Canandaigua.
Ian Samson, 32, of Rochester was arrested for criminal possession fo a forged instrument.
He’s accused of going to Canandaigua to cash a forged check at a bank there.
Police say bank staff quickly realized that the check was forged and contacted law enforcement.
Samson was processed without incident and released to appear at a later date in city court.
