Waterloo man faces felony charges after domestic incident

Police in Waterloo report the arrest of a local man on an array of charges following a domestic incident.

On October 7 around 6 p.m. police arrested Matthew Northrup, 36, of Waterloo for aggravated family offense, as a felony; criminal contempt; and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

He’s accused of being intoxicated and acting in a way that could have resulted in injuries to multiple children.

Additional information about the incident were not released. However, Northrup was said to have been in violation of an existing refrain from order of protection during the incident.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
