The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has provided another update on the accident in the Victor BJ’s Wholesale parking lot Monday afternoon.
Maryann Delfino, the 83-year-old who was struck by a vehicle that backed up erratically after overshooting a handicap parking spot, has died at Strong Memorial Hospital.
According to authorities, Delfino succumbed to the injuries she sustained in that accident.
Deputies didn’t give an update on the investigation beyond that it remained active.

Authorities in Ontario County say one person is in critical condition at Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in the parking lot of BJs Wholesale in Victor.
According to a news release, the crash happened just before 1 p.m.
Filomena Marchiolo, 87, of Fairport entered the BJ’s parking lot in an SUV. As she attempted to enter a handicap parking spot- she overshot the parking area and collided with another SUV operated by Karen Fudge, 60, of Penn Yan.
That’s when Marchioli then recklessly reversed the vehicle at a high rate of speed as 83-year-old Maryann Delfino was walking behind the vehicle.
Deputies said Delfino is hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The investigation into the crash remains active. However, deputies say they were assisted by Fishers Fire Department and Victor Farmington Ambulance.
