On September 17 the Geneva Police Department responded to a reported bomb threat at Temple Beth-El around 8:15 a.m.
Swiftly addressing the situation, the department enlisted the assistance of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office’s Explosive Detection K-9 unit to meticulously inspect the temple’s premises.
The meticulous search resulted in no discovery of explosive devices. Authorities assessed the threat as isolated, assuring there is no continuing danger to the public.
To ensure a thorough follow-up, the New York State Police Hate Crimes Task Force has been briefed and will helm the ongoing investigation.
