An Auburn resident, Jay Garrigan, has pleaded guilty to criminal possession of stolen property related to a case involving a stolen SUV with a dog inside.
As per the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, Garrigan confessed to obtaining the Jeep in exchange for drugs.
The theft occurred on August 6 from the Waterloo Premium Outlets.
The vehicle was located by state police in Aurelius the following day, leading to the arrest of Garrigan and the driver, Charles Donato of Fleming.
Glenn, the 6-year-old Maltese-Yorkie mix inside the SUV, was found safe and unharmed.
