Rollercoaster ride of temperatures this week, but early-September looks warm

The Finger Lakes region is set to experience fluctuating temperatures and varying chances of rain throughout the week.

Monday’s forecast hints at rain across the Finger Lakes, despite an initially dry commute in the morning.

The day’s highs are anticipated to reach the mid-70s. Tuesday also suggests afternoon showers and storms, predominantly in the eastern part, though the likelihood increases slightly for all.

Temperatures are expected to drop mid-week, with highs only in the upper 60s to low 70s due to northerly winds potentially triggering lake-enhanced showers.

However, by Thursday, the region should experience drier, warmer conditions, with temperatures expected to rise to the upper 70s to low 80s during the weekend.

The following week looks promising with highs climbing into the low to mid-80s, making it feel more like summer and less like fall.
