A motorcyclist in her 60s was killed in a crash on I-81 North in Cortlandville, New York, on Saturday, August 26.
New York State Police reported that they responded to the accident around 3:21 p.m. The woman was part of a group of four motorcyclists when her bike veered off the road near mile marker 51 and struck a guardrail.
An AMR ambulance crew happened to be on the same route and immediately provided emergency care, but the woman later succumbed to her injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet determined why the motorcycle left the road. No other injuries were reported in the incident, according to New York State Police.
