A 19-year-old Penn Yan resident, Scott Shoff, was extricated from a vehicle after it veered off the road and collided with two trees early Sunday morning in Yates County.
First responders said the accident happened when the driver, 20-year-old Sabastian Stahlman of Canandaigua, missed a curve on County House Road in Jerusalem.
After the crash, Shoff was rescued from the car’s passenger seat by Branchport/Keuka Park firefighters.
Both individuals were transported to Strong Memorial for medical attention, one by helicopter and the other via ambulance.
The nature of their injuries has not been disclosed. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Multiple agencies, including Yates County EMS, Penn Yan Fire, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the incident.
