Auburn High School has embarked on much-needed renovations as part of the district’s five-year improvement plan.
Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo underscored the urgency of the repair work in a recent conversation with Finger Lakes News Radio, noting that the school annually contends with flooding classrooms due to pipe breaks.
Currently, the school’s ceilings have been dismantled to facilitate the replacement of all branch piping, a project that is reportedly ahead of schedule.
The renovation work at the high school is set for completion by mid-August, providing ample time for teachers to prepare their classrooms for the forthcoming academic year. The improvement activities mark a significant stride towards achieving the district’s broader infrastructure goals outlined in their five-year plan.
Pirozzolo noted that the five-year plan should have been accomplished by now. However, the COVID-19 pandemic precipitated delays, hindering the progress of refurbishments across the district’s facilities.
