State police arrested a Wayne County woman after a lengthy insurance fraud investigation.
According to a news release, Amanda Williams, 23, of Savannah was charged with a felony count of insurance fraud and misdemeanor conspiracy following a lengthy investigation into a vehicle fire.
It is alleged that Williams worked with other individuals to collect insurance money for a vehicle that was discovered destroyed by fire near a recreational trail in the town of Savannah in March 2022.
Williams was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
State police said the New York State Department of Financial Services Criminal Investigation Bureau assisted.
Additional charges are pending.
