The New York Yankees (48-39) fell 6-3 to the Baltimore Orioles (50-35) on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
Josh Donaldson and Anthony Volpe homered while Kyle Higashioka added a two-out RBI single but the bullpen combined to give up six runs after Randy Vásquez tossed five shutout innings in his third big-league start.
The Yankees still have a chance at winning the series on Thursday with Luis Severino on the mound. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
