Willis Bowles, 36, and Hayden Williams, 30, both of Geneva were arrested for second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
the charges stem from deputies assisting the Ontario County Humane Society with an animal abuse case where Bowels trapped a raccoon, then set it on fire and posted it to social media.
Investigators executed a search warrant on High Street, finding a loaded assault weapon with ammunition.
Both were taken into custody at the address of the search and held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
As earlier reported, Bowles was also charged with animal cruelty.
