Deputies arrested a 24-year-old Painted Post resident following a welfare fraud investigation.
Amy Orbanic is accused of providing a false document for filing to Steuben County DSS, resulting in more than $500 in public benefits that she was not entitled to receive.
Following that investigation, Orbanic was charged with a felony count of offering a false instrument and petit larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
