Firefighters say several animals died in a structure fire that crews responded to during the late-evening hours in the town of Rose.

A little before 9 p.m. the Clyde Fire Department was dispatched to Rose for a barn fire.
The initial callers could see smoke; and by the time firefighters arrived flames were visible.
Adding risk to the fire fight first responders said there were two nearby propane tanks.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
