The New York Mets (30-34) losing streak continued Friday night at PNC Park as they dropped their seventh straight with a 14-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates (33-29).
Once again, the starting pitching and bullpen let the team down. Tylor Megill allowed nine runs (seven earned) over 3 2/3 innings. Zach Muckenhirn gave up three, while Tommy Hunter surrendered two.
Francisco Lindor hit his 12th home run of the season. Mark Vientos, Francisco Alvarez, and Luis Guillorme added run-scoring hits.
Kodia Senga will try to help the Mets get back in the win column on Saturday at 4:05 p.m.
