The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says they’re investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident that happened on State Route 96 around 9:41 p.m.
Deputies along with first responders from Victor-Farmington Ambulance, Farmington Fire Department, and New York State Police responded to a portion of Route 96 in Farmington for a pedestrian-vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, they located a 64-year-old woman who showed no signs of life. She was at the center of the roadway, according to deputies.
First responders attempted life-saving measures without success.
Investigators determined that a vehicle operated by 18-year-old Maxwell Clar, of Farmington was traveling east on Route 96 when the sedan collided with Estoria Moore, 64, of Farmington.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene; and the sheriff’s office reconstruction team completed the investigation, which is still active.
The road was closed for nearly three hours.
