Two people died in a plane crash in Western New York on Sunday.
It happened in Orleans County during the evening hours, authorities said.
The plane came down behind a home around 6 p.m. The pilot and a single occupant died in the crash.
The FAA is assisting the investigation.
At this point, mechanical failure of the plane is believed to be the cause.
