Steuben County seeks public input on comprehensive plan as process moves forward

Steuben County is calling for resident feedback for its inaugural comprehensive plan. To facilitate this, the county will be hosting public sessions next month and will allow public opinions to be submitted via its website.

The scheduled events are set for June 6 at the Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning and the Community Arts Center in Hornell, with subsequent sessions taking place two days later at the Wayland library and the Steuben County Annex in Bath.

The comprehensive plan, which will guide growth and development in Steuben County for the next 15 years, is a strategic overview of infrastructure, housing, economic development, county operations, and other facets of community development.

This plan will inform future budgets and planning initiatives and will help to secure state and federal funding for priority projects.
