The James Cooke Post #931 will be hosting a Memorial Day parade and ceremony on Monday, May 29 in Victor. The event aims to honor and remember the sacrifices made by veterans and those who have recently passed away.
The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the Victor Education Center parking lot, proceeding down High Street to Main Street before entering the Village Hall parking lot, where the Memorial Day ceremony will take place.
Various local groups will participate in the procession, led by veterans from the community. These groups include Victor, Fishers & Farmington Fire Departments, Victor High School Marching Band and Color Guard, local car and tractor clubs, Ganandagan, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, Gates Keystone Club Pipe & Drum Band, and other local organizations and businesses.
Following the parade, attendees are invited to gather at the Village Hall parking lot for a brief ceremony honoring veterans and commemorating those who have recently passed away.
