The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark man following a traffic stop in Macedon.
According to a news release, Joseph Becker, 39, was arrested for DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and other violations after that traffic stop.
It’s alleged that Becker was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. It’s further alleged that deputies could smell alcohol when performing the traffic stop, which led to the additional investigation.
He was found to have a BAC of 0.15%. The traffic stop took place around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
