Devon Levi is officially a Buffalo Sabre.
On Friday afternoon, the 21-year-old top goalie prospect signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres.
Levi was selected by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft. However, he was traded to Buffalo the following summer along with a first-round pick in exchange for forward Sam Reinhart.
Since the trade, Levi’s numbers have been spectacular playing for Northeastern University. In 66 games over two seasons with the school, Levi posted a 38-22-6 record, 16 shutouts, a 1.90 goals-against average, and a .942 save percentage.
