Watkins Glen is preparing for next month’s village elections with candidates ready to take on various positions. In the mayoral race, Deputy Mayor Louis Perazzini will face trustee Laura DeNardo.
The seat became available after former mayor Luke Leszyk resigned in July.
Perazzini will run on the Republican Party Line while DeNardo will be on the ballot for the Democratic Party and Public-Be-Heard Party Lines.
For the village board, three candidates are vying for two four-year terms. Peter Cherock, Margaret Schimizzi, and Jerri-Lynn Chronis will compete for the seats.
Voting will take place on March 21st from noon until 9 p.m. at the Community Center.
