Wow, what a wild game that was.
The Buffalo Sabres (29-23-4, 62 points) blew three leads but still found a way to pick up two points as they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (36-17-4, 76 points), 6-5, in overtime on Ilya Lyubushkin’s shorthanded goal.
Tage Thompson notched his fourth hat trick of the season. Zemgus Girgensons and Jack Quinn also found the back of the net. Jeff Skinner and Rasmus Dahlin each tallied a pair of assists.
