The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports that on February 3rd deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Hillside Lane in Cohocton.
The search warrant stemmed from a report of malnourished and neglected dogs.
During the search, deputies located seven adult dogs and six puppies, which were seized and taken to an area vet for emergency treatment.
The occupants, Emma Miller, 23, and Shawn Semple, 41, both of Cohocton were arrested for failure to provide proper sustenance to the animals and ticketed.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
