The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Victor resident following a welfare fraud investigation.
Liana Goguadze-Futia, 63, of Victor was found to have been receiving housing benefits for an apartment she was not living in at the time.
As result, she obtained around $4,463 in benefits, allowing the apartment to remain vacant for nearly a year preventing other people from renting it.
She was arrested and brought to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
