The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for this morning and afternoon.
There’s an increased threat for freezing rain through the early- to mid-afternoon hours as temperatures hover around 32 degrees and precipitation moves into the Finger Lakes.
The National Weather Service says that while this won’t be a major icing event, there will be enough precipitation to cause travel headaches during the morning.
At this point, the advisory is set to expire during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will rise through the day, making the risk for freezing rain less.
However, the advisory runs longer in locations like Wayne, Seneca, and Cayuga counties.
