For the first time in weeks, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a couple counties in the region, as an area-wide snow impacts travel.
Generally speaking, if you’re south of the Thruway, 3-4 inches of snow is all anyone should expect. That said, locations north of the Thruway – including Northern Cayuga, Wayne, and Monroe counties can expect to see more than that.
Altogether, Wayne and Monroe will see 4-6 inches of snow, as lake effect kicks in behind the general snowfall that comes during the daytime hours.
Use caution on roadways and plan for extra time during the evening commute.
