The Buffalo Bills (13-3) picked up a 35-23 victory over the New England Patriots (8-9) in the regular-season finale on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.
With the win, Buffalo officially secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC and will face the Miami Dolphins at home next weekend in the first round of the playoffs. The date and time has not been announced yet.
As for the game, it certainly didn’t come easy for the Bills. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime, and New England hung around for most of the second half before Buffalo pulled away late.
Special teams came up huge for the Bills. Nyheim Hines opened the game with a bang as he returned the kickoff 96 yards to the house. He later ran back another one for 101 yards, becoming the 11th player in NFL history with two kickoff return touchdowns in the same game.
Josh Allen completed 19-of-31 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns to go along with one interception. Dawson Knox, John Brown, and Stefon Diggs each hauled in touchdowns.
