Get ready for a soggy couple days in the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
Moderate rain will overspread the region this morning. However, it won’t be a one-and-done rain event.
Instead, we’ll see a couple waves of rain. The first comes today. The second comes tomorrow.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service are calling for an inch or inch-and-a-half of rain by overnight. Another half- or three-quarters is forecasted for Wednesday.
There shouldn’t be any flood concerns – even for locations in Western New York who saw heavy snow and blizzard conditions little more than a week ago.
That said, travel will be sloppy throughout Central New York, the Southern Tier, Finger Lakes, and Western New York.
