Deputies say a Waterloo man was arrested after being found in possession of a sawed-off shotgun one day after a court ordered him to give up all weapons.
According to a news release, Kyle Davis, age 29, of Waterloo was arrested following an incident on December 15th around 9 a.m. at a residence in Fayette.
Deputies say they discovered that Davis attempted to conceal and hide a sawed-off shotgun under a pile of clothing.
Due to a previous incident the day before Davis was ordered to surrender all his firearms. It’s alleged that Davis further altered the shotgun by cutting off the barrel below the level allowed by New York.
Davis was charged with three counts of criminal possesison of a weapon – all felonies – and arraigned.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
