The It’s a Wonderful Life Festival Committee is inviting all Seneca Falls residents to participate in the 8th Annual It’s a Wonderful Lights Contest by decorating their houses and yards in celebration of the holidays.
This year $2,350 in prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each of the following categories:
The Clarence Award – Your display is so bright Clarence can see your lights from above!
The Mary Bailey Award – Best use of traditional decoration (Holiday wreaths, garland, ribbons, and bows).
The Uncle Billy Award – Best use of holiday characters (Frosty, Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Buddy the Elf, etc.).
First place wins $500, second place wins $250 in each category. Plus, all contestants qualify to win the Facebook Fan Favorite $100 cash prize. 7 winners in all! Decorations must be available for viewing December 5th through 7th for judging.
The deadline for entries is Friday, December 2nd. “We are very excited this year’s judges will be previous winners of the It’s a Wonderful Lights Contest!” said Haidee Oropallo, President of It’s a Wonderful Life Committee.
